Packsaddle 2024: A collector’s exhibition

Packsaddle 2024 showcased the works of many new artists, works from artists who exhibit with us regularly, and works from several new galleries.

The 2024 exhibition coincided with the New England Garden Festival (NEGF). Visitors to both the NEGF and Packsaddle had a weekend of art and gardens, with good food at 6 Counties, (NERAM cafe). It was a perfect alignment.

Visitors to the exhibition were local to a large degree, but many people who came to Packsaddle who had not visited Armidale, and many of these lovely visitors walked out of the gallery with a new art work. We wrapped and packed works to go as far as W.A., and Ireland.

The monies raised in 2024 will, as always, contribute to NERAM, either to sponsor an exhibition, an education program, guest lecturers, vital work for the gallery, and always conservation projects within the Hinton Collection, the Coventry Collection, or  the NERAM Collection.         

Within the success of Packsaddle 2024, the Packsaddle committee was without our beloved friend and Packsaddler, Anne White.
